Groob threatens political writer on 'flyergate' coverage
Covington political operative Kathy Groob sent Kentucky political writer Jake Payne a threatening email on Saturday following his coverage of an amateurish campaign flyer that slanders members of a national rock band.
The Daley for Campbell County Attorney campaign says Groob did the flyer. Her company, November Strategies, denies it. Payne responded by calling Groob a "heinous bitch" in an email.
Payne later went online to denounce Groob, but softened the name-calling by calling her a "witch" instead. [ Link ]
A few days later, Kathy Groob and crew were accused of calling two new members of the Covington City Commission of being "ivory tower nazis." Both Steve Frank and Steve Casper are of Jewish heritage.
