You're looking at an X-ray of a Mizuno PR4192 bat, commissioned by Pete Rose specifically for his 1985 chase of baseball's all-time hits record. Inside, clear as day, is a piece of foreign material, about 6 inches long, and the diameter of a nickel. This is the story of that bat.

Newport's East Row residents paid $5000 each for pool
East Row residents are spending time and money to renovate the pool's clubhouse into a fitness center and recreation room. Each of the pool's 50 members paid $5,000, which covered the purchase of the land and $50,000 for improvements and maintenance. Members also pay annual dues of $400.

River sweep is a one-day shoreline cleanup that extends the entire length of the Ohio River and some of its tributaries. The sweep is scheduled for Saturday, June 19, 2010, from 8:00 am until noon.

Drugs taken in Latonia pharmacy robbery
The Ruwe Family Pharmacy in Covington's Latonia neighborhood was held up Monday morning by masked robbers who demanded presription medication, Covington police said.

DHL adding 300 jobs at CVG

Fundraising to re-light the Suspension Bridge lags
It has been lights out for the historic bridge for some time now, even before the painting began this spring. About $450,000 is needed to replace and turn on the lights, but fundraising is lagging.
