Look up this week, that's the
Space Station overhead

Right now, the station's path is aligned with Earth's day-night terminator, keeping the spacecraft in nearly constant sunlight. The station is in an orbit over Covington and Cincinnati, you can see it this week.

A massive protest aimed at the G20 summit in Toronto turned violent Saturday afternoon as radical demonstrators clashed with riot police and lit cruisers on fire in the heart of the downtown core.

12th Street work will
block access to Russell Street

Beginning Monday, June 28, the south side of Russell Street at 12th Street will be closed for construction as part of the 12th Street widening project. The closure will likely be in place for 2-3 weeks. Signed detours will be installed directing motorists to use Holman and 13th Streets to navigate around the closure. >> No story link


Reds' Phillips charged with reckless driving near here
Cincinnati Reds star Brandon Phillips had a run-in with the law late Friday. Park Hills police said they spotted a car traveling at 72 mph in a 35 mph zone in 1400 block of Dixie Highway at about 10:30 p.m.


Exhibit celebrates
100-year milestones

Some of the best views of downtown Cincinnati can be seen from Covington's Devou Park, which turns 100 this year. It's also the home of the Behringer-Crawford Museum. Among the museum's permanent displays is a trolley car.


80% of city's budget
is for staffing expenses

Among staff is a full-time preservationist with a staff which duplicates the code enforcement office and a newly-hired person who heads a department called Renaissance Covington which duplicates the city's public information office.


Covington urban ministry
wants to open 'Dream Center'

Food, water, and prayer - volunteers will be delivering all three throughout Covington Saturday. "We just want people to know that God loves them, and we hope that Jesus touches some lives," said David Hills, an urban missionary and leader of Urban Outreach NKY/Cincinnati.
