Covington urban ministry wants to open 'Dream Center'
Food, water, and prayer - volunteers will be delivering all three throughout Covington Saturday. "We just want people to know that God loves them, and we hope that Jesus touches some lives," said David Hilln, an urban missionary and leader of Urban Outreach NKY/Cincinnati.

Kenton County Fiscal Court passed an ordinance 3-1 designating county commissioners as part-time rather than full-time employees June 22.

City begins taking down

Covington road crews have started to remove street signs such as "No Loud Noise" and "Children at Play."
Took 6 minutes for tremors to reach Covington
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake hit the Ontario-Quebec border region of Canada and registered a magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale. It occurred at 1:41 pm.
It took about 6 minutes for the soft tremors to hit Covington.
Carnegie gets troubled bar's liquor license
The city of Covington bought the Bottoms Up bar on Fifth Street and hopes to turn both the property and liquor license into something positive for the city.
