The beautifully-landscaped Fourth Street and Crescent Avenue entrance to the west Covington neighborhood was recently damaged after two drivers did some careless "off-roading."

home of US Grant's parents
This is what the Grant House at 518 Greenup Street looked like in 1967. It was once the home of the parents of United States President Ulysses S. Grant, Jesse Root Grant and Hannah Simpson Grant, who lived here from 1859 to 1873. The structured has since been somewhat restored.

this coming Sunday
The Covington city pools -- Randolph Park, Goebel Park and Gus Sheehan in Botany Hills -- as well as the Covington Waterpark will open for the 2010 season on Sunday, June 6.
