as Roebling Point at the foot of the bridge.

In an effort to find long-term solutions to flooding along Banklick Creek, the Kenton County Conservation District is working to secure grant funding through the Kentucky Division of Emergency Management's Hazard Mitigation Program.

More lengthy traffic delays on and
around the Brent Spence Bridge Sunday

Roadwork will shut down the bridge's center two lanes along Interstate 75/71 as it crosses the Ohio River. The on-ramp from 4th Street in Covington also will shut down.

Northern Kentucky Republicans put their internal party differences aside and united behind GOP U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul during a rally Saturday in Erlanger.

The Covington Police Department is warning residents to lock their sheds and garages. Officials say the best deterrent to keep thieves from stealing your property is a lock and key.

Locally, HealthyMondayNKY launched in 2008 at Northern Kentucky University, and expanded last spring with the help of the Northern Kentucky Health Department.

For now, oil spews
unchecked in Gulf

Hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil are being allowed to spew into the fouled waters of the Gulf of Mexico while BP engineers prepare to install a new containment system they hope will catch it all in the coming days.
